This is a repost from October of last year. Instead tonight, honoring Jazz immortal George Shearing who passed away earlier today in Los Angeles at the age of 91. Here is a live broadcast from the Basin Street club in Mid-town Manhattan on June 2, 1956 featuring The George Shearing Quintet.
