Keith talks to Alaska Shannyn Moore about Sarah Palin's attempt to bully her into being silent. I think all Palin's managed to accomplish is that a whole lot more people know who Shannyn Moore is now.

In a yet another completely tone-deaf move hailed by GOP sycophants as cagey, Sarah Palin complained about the mean ol' bloggers chasing after her and sic'ed her lawyer after them, threatening lawsuits. Palin's lawyer, in point of fact, put out a four page letter (.pdf) outlining the "defamatory" charges against his client that would embarrass a first semester law student.

One of those in Palin's crosshairs is blogger Shannyn Moore. Shannyn has one message for Palin: Bring it on.

On the Fourth of July, when Americans everywhere were celebrating our most sacred national holiday with parades and barbeques, Governor Sarah Palin was busy having me, Shannyn Moore, declared an Enemy of the State.

In a rambling quasi-legal letter, the most powerful person in this state accused me of defaming her for pointing out the fact that there have been rumors, -rumors- of corruption, rumors that have been around for years.

When Sarah Palin gave her three-weeks notice to the people of Alaska, aborting her term as Governor, a lot of people wondered why she quit. Mid-level managers turn-in their notice, not elected public officials. It didn’t make sense. It still doesn’t. People have been trying to guess why she really quit, and everyone in Alaska has been playing the guessing game. They’re rumors. There are a lot of rumors. And with all the corruption we’ve had here in Alaska, of course we wonder what’s really behind her resignation.

Governors don’t just quit. But Governor Palin did.[..]

Sarah Palin is a coward and a bully. What kind of politician attacks an ordinary American on the Fourth of July for speaking her mind? What’s wrong with her? The First Amendment was designed to protect people like me from the likes of people like her. Our American Revolution got rid of kings. And queens, too. Am I jacked-up? You betcha. Sarah Palin, if you have a problem with me, then sue me.

You gotta love this woman.

Hat tip for this video to Shannyn's fellow Alaska blogger Gryphen at The Immoral Minority, who points out,

"Do you know the difference between a Shannyn Moore press conference and a Sarah Palin press conference? Shannyn's made sense."

Keith talks to blogger Shannyn Moore about Sarah Palin's fading star in Alaska where her poll numbers are shrinking fast.

Rush “Boss” Limbaugh thinks Sarah is fabulous. Boss thinks she’s the new face of the party-the party that “won’t attract liberals…thank God.” Well, Rush lives in Florida. Rush hasn’t spent up to $11 a gallon for heating fuel. Rush hasn’t spent three months in sub-zero temperatures. Rush hasn’t lived where the sun doesn’t rise for a month.

Rush should shut it. He reminds of a guy full of fishing stories who probably can’t bait his own hook. Sarah can feel pretty good about her endorsement from the real leader of the GOP. Sarah Palin is sacrificing Alaska for Boss Limbaugh’s affection.

If the governor doesn’t step up and help the state with some financial energy relief by May 12th, her next polls will drop even lower.

Alaskan’s don’t consider heat a luxury.

David Shuster talked to blogger Shannyn Moore about Sarah Palin's latest antics in Alaska where she again seems to be putting her political aspirations before the good of her state. You can read more at Shannyn's blog on the subject here: Palin’s Pitbull Lipstick Wearing Thin. From the post:

“Erratic behavior.”

That is the phrase both sides of the aisle in Juneau are using to describe Governor Palin as of late. For months, the wheels on the Straight Talk Express have been rattling, and now they are coming off. That may sound like a good thing to all the people who have been thrown under it, but for the state of Alaska, it’s just dangerous. Whether we voted for the bus driver or not, we’re passengers, and the cliffs are steep.

A senior member of the leadership staff made two copies of an Anchorage Daily News article last week. One was given to the legislator and the other to a member of Palin’s staff. The article reported Sarah Palin’s agreement to speak at the Vanderburgh County Right to Life dinner in Evansville, Indiana, on April 16th. It also stated her commitment to speak at a breakfast the next day for S.M.I.L.E., a nonprofit organization for people with family members who have Down syndrome.

This was NEWS to the legislator and RELEVANT, considering the governor would be missing in action for most of the last week of the session. The final week is certainly the busiest and most critical as the clock winds down to complete state business.
