Stephen Colbert is disgusted with his puppy team's first half play at The Puppy Bowl and gives a rousing puppy speech at half time to inspire his canines.

I want to thank Digby for telling me about this clip and let's all thank the high heavens for Stephen Colbert. He pulls off the perfect Super Bowl send up during the adorable Puppy Bowl. Don't miss his half time speech. The Puppy Bowl starts at the 5:35 mark to the end.

Eonline:

In a sketch for his show The Colbert Report this week, the 49-year-old funnyman hit an actual football field to practice for his big day with the dogs. Colbert is shown suited up in a football uniform before engaging in some plays with pro players. He also gets some comedic words of advice from famed coach Joe Gibbs.

After all the preparation, it's then revealed that Colbert isn't actually playing in the 2014 Super Bowl. He gets to hit the field with tons of puppies. The adorable image of dogs jumping all over Colbert has us all kinds of jealous.
Then, Colbert gives a halftime speech to his four-legged teammates in the Puppy Bowl locker room. "Listen up!" he says. "I don't know what the hell you think you're doing out there but it sure as s--t ain't football! This is the Puppy Bowl, goddamn it."

Enjoy.
