Oregon finally pulled the plug on its own health care marketplace, and the $248 million spent on creating and maintaining the site that couldn't get anyone health insurance. John Oliver mocks unmercifully. Lisa Loeb helps with "Oregon Spirit".

John Oliver's new show on HBO Last Week Tonight looks really good, if this clip is any indication. The state of Oregon just announced they were giving up on their own state exchange, and the $248 million they spent for a marketplace that just didn't work, at least the online version.

Oliver even pointedly took them to task for their "violently adorable" commercials.

“We get it Oregon, you people live in a cartoon. Your mountains are breathtaking, your coffee is fair trade, and everywhere you go you hear the sound of f*cking ukuleles.”
