If you were ever curious to know what Japanese '80s funk sounds like, then this is your chance to find out.
February 26, 2015

Tonight, Tatsuro Yamashita hits us with some smooth, funky jams all the way back from 1982. From what I've heard, Japan had a pretty good funk scene back in the day, even after the heyday of the genre in the U.S. This is a bit more on the poppier side of funk, but it's funky nonetheless. Here's a tip: if you ever get an itch to hear more out of a genre that you feel like you've heard it all from, look outside of the U.S. for some other countries' takes on the style.

What are you listening to tonight?
