Yes, it's true, sometimes the man or woman upstairs shows his/her might in a most dramatic and I'd have to say, downright rude manifestation. A tornado ravaged Oklahoma City and nearby Moore, leaving a lot of damage in its wake. At least one person died, several more are injured, and thousands of people have no power.

Fox News reports it like this: Chase Rhodes, who lives in Moore, Oklahoma, noticed that a snapped telephone pole had become suspended from power lines.

The 14-year-old's picture quickly went viral.

He told The Blaze that he was sitting at home watching the news with his family when the twister hit.

Rhodes said the lights started to flicker and the family quickly headed to a shelter. The severe weather left at least one person dead near Tulsa, with at least 16 injuries reported in the state.

The Friendly Atheist explained the phenomena by stating a simple fact: You know, just once, it’d be nice for God to stop by without going ballistic on the way there…

Since no one else seems to be saying it, that’s just a broken telephone pole. But give it a few more days and I’m sure locals will fight to prevent it from being fixed because, you know, Christian persecution and all. If you’re able, you can make a donation to the Red Cross here for relief efforts. That, unlike God’s misguided messaging, will actually help people affected by the tornado.

I suppose if these people perished during the tornado, their survivors would say it's god's plan, who works in mysterious ways. If they escape damage and injury, it was all thanks to god. I guess you can explain away rationality if you add a supernatural being to the mix.
