Today is "Day of Disruption," a nationwide protest for a national $15.00 minimum wage.

And Stuart Varney...

varney

Thinks it's "sheer bloody-mindedness" to make the public uncomfortable with your protests for a living wage, because the flying-class won't join your cause, then.

PS Note the look on Maria Bartiromo's Holiday Week substitute, Dagen McDowell, when she has to bring on Stuart Effing Varney to talk about the minimum effing wage. She does her job by agreeing (a little too enthusiastically?) with everything Varney says. And yeah, I expect Dagen has waited tables once or twice in her life.

DAGEN MCDOWELL, HOST: Workers from fast-food chains joining in nationwide protests for higher pay and the right to unionize calling the day the day of disruption, joining me now, to weigh in on this: Stuart Varney the host of "Varney & Company."

VARNEY: Are you familiar with the English expression "sheer bloody mindedness"?

MCDOWELL: No, but I love it. I will use it all day! [We just bet she will.]

VARNEY: I think, that these -- days of what? "Days of disruption"? It amounts in some sense to sheer bloody mindedness-- you know you are going to hurt somebody, you do it anyway, because that is what you do. It's appalling: 20 airports starting this morning... going to disrupt travel fast-food restaurants across country... try to disrupt operations, it is this "fight for 15." Number one, when you disrupt people like that, you are you get no closer to your goal because you really annoy a bunch of people, your cause goes down the tubes.

Number two, a 15 dollar per hour minimum wage is a job killer, an opportunity killer, everybody knows it. Still going to go out there and do it. Sheer bloody mindedness. I detest it. Is that strong enough?

MCDOWELL: I can't wait to hear more on "Varney & Company" a lot more, never know what you will learn! Stuart we will see you 12 minutes from now. Reminder, "Varney & Company" starts each and every day Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. Eastern time. Love Mr. Varney.

She loves Mr. Varney because without that she's stuck in a much lower paying job with a "job killing, opportunity killing" wage.

How many 15's an hour does he make?

And the rest of the time on Fox Business they are talking about multi-billion dollar merger hopes as if it has nothing to do with workers.

Besides, every man at Fox knows the correct way to protest low pay is to get your AGENT to talk to Rupert Murdoch's people. And every woman knows the only way to get what your worth at Fox is to audiotape and then sue the boss who sexually harassed you for years.

Stuart Varney is one of a few Fox / SkyTV anchors who are the basis for the villian Lewis Prothero in "V for Vendetta." The fascist millionaire who got there by saying what rich people want to hear.

If only Dagen McDowell had a remote to turn him off.
