A Cambridge, MA elementary school librarian is facing serious backlash from conservatives about her decision to return a set of 10 Dr. Seuss books sent to her school by Melania Trump. The librarian, Liz Phipps Soeiro, works at Cambridgeport Elementary School.

Here are some tweets:

Ted Cruz, with the Green Eggs and Ham joke

In response to the backlash, she wrote the following editorial on the Horn Book's Family Reading website explaining why her school does not need the books. Her main point is that the school has "plenty of resources" and does not have a need for the books. She also called Dr. Seuss "a cliche"

CBS Boston reports that parents at the school support the librarian's decision to return the books. One parent, Eric Munson, said "That's the librarian's prerogative and I support her decision." Another parent, Alex Vanpraagh said "I think the letter is really articulate, constructive in its suggestions."

The Cambridge Public School has distanced itself from her statement by making it clear that her views are hers alone and do not reflect the school systems views.

Watch Rachel Campos-Duffy whine about the mean librarian in the clip at the top, too. She's just furious about mean liberals making everything political, but conveniently ignores the librarian's point about Betsy DeVos.
