Jumping over to the 1940's and the dawn of the Bop era tonight. Charlie Ventura And His Bop For The People with a 1949 recording done for RCA-Victor, Feather's Den.

Ventura recorded for a string of labels during his long and illustrious career. His RCA period netted some classics such as Ha and High On An Open Mike. Feather's Den is a tribute to Leonard Feather who was considered at the time to be the Major Domo of critics.
