Another set of recordings from the French Radio Transcription Service. This one from a public performance recorded in 1950 featuring the great Jean Doyen, piano with the Orchestra of the French Radio conducted by Eugene Bigot. The Piano Concerto by Reynaldo Hahn.

Hahn is probably more known these days for his vocal works, having produced a hefty catalog of songs which are in almost every singers repertoire. He did compose some very nice instrumental works, including this one which, although rarely performed, is a nice example of early 20th century music for keyboard.

A nice end to a hectic week and maybe a brief respite before the next one.

In either case, enjoy.
