There's some infighting among the MAGA nuts in Georgia on how attack DA Fani Willis in service of Dear Leader Trump. They're all sure they want to go after her, but they've got the complete crazies battling with the ones that are still at least partially attached to reality as to what their next move is.

As Raw Story reported, they can't seem to decide over whether to impeach, defund or sanction her:

Allies of former President Donald Trump in Georgia are chomping at the bit to punish Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, but their efforts are causing infighting within the Georgia Republican Party.

The Atlanta Journal Constitution reports that State Senate Majority Leader Steve Gooch has been pushing a bill that would let a state panel investigate and remove purportedly wayward prosecutors.

In an interview with the AJC, Gooch argues that Willis is "definitely tainted" and that "we want to make sure" Trump and his allies "get a fair shake."

However, Gooch has also been pushing back against Georgia State Sen. Colton Moore, a hardcore MAGA supporter who has been pushing a plan to call a special session to directly impeach Willis, despite the fact that such a plan would require votes from Democrats that are highly unlikely to materialize.

Here's more from the The Atlanta Journal-Constitution on the ways they're planning to come after her:

The two initiatives are part of a broader effort by Trump’s allies at the Georgia Capitol and the U.S. Congress to punish Willis over the 51-count indictment, which accuses Trump and 18 co-defendants of a sprawling “criminal enterprise” to reverse his 2020 defeat.

U.S. Rep. Andrew Clyde wants to use an upcoming appropriations bill to slash federal funding for Willis, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and federal special counsel Jack Smith. Each is a top prosecutor in one of the four cases Trump is currently facing.

And U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Rome, is among the GOP members who urged the House Judiciary Committee to launch an investigation into how much her office receives in federal dollars and whether it has interacted with White House officials.

But, as the article noted, at least Gooch was willing to push back against Moore's insanity. How what they're attempting to do isn't obstruction of justice and subject to some kind of criminal charges is beyond me, but that's where we find ourselves these days.

We've got one party that is willing to completely push the limits as long as it means they stay in power and who could care less if there's anything left of our democracy, and a Democratic party that sadly is still pretending what's going on is business as usual.

It's just pathetic to watch how much the supposed "law and order party," which has always been a joke, is willing to do whatever is necessary to protect the criminals in their own party.
