It's Beginning To Sound A Lot Like Christmas - 1968

(Just wouldn't be Christmas without them)
A little something via The Beatles Fanclub to get you into the spirit, or keep you there, or to just get you rolling on a Sunday.
Enjoy and remember to hit the "donate" button -pennies, nickels and dimes work wonders.

I thought this was Monday night, could just be me I guess.
I can't blame Gordon for his equilibrium being off a little bit! :)

Actually - I posted this on my site (Newstalgia) yesterday and it got reposted on C&L today. Much as I'd like to take credit for being a space case . .I'm afraid I can't this time ;)
I was listening to a Frank Sinatra Christmas album, but had to pause for the Beatles. :D

old Mal Evans in there, the Beatles faithful roadie and confidant. What a treat! May he RIP.
Looks to be about the time of "Rubber Soul," or thereabouts. Maybe even a little earlier.
Beatles 4ever!

Am I the only one who looked at that tree and thought "no modern-day promotions company would ever consider including such a scraggly and poorly-decorated tree like that in a photograph like this"? No...such a picture taken today would almost certainly taken in front of a lush, symmetrical, and perfectly-decorated tree (probably a fake tree at that). And if they couldn't find one or get one ready in time, they'd simply put one in digitally...
It's all about creating that illusory image of perfection these days, dontcha know -- says something about how superficial the world has become (or at least the advertising industry).
Never trust anyone who insists that patriotism requires you to blindfold yourself with the flag.
That looks more like 1966.

They used to appear on the BBC every December 26th,
Funny, they don't look black.

If there's one lame, meaningless holiday I HATE, it's Christmas...
