I was saddened to hear the passing today of Soul legend Howard Tate, who left at the age of 72 and left behind a rich legacy of music and a voice that won't be forgotten.

So as tribute tonight, I thought I would post a track from his memorable 1967 association with Jerry Ragavoy for Verve. Glad I Knew Better is classic Tate and was originally the B-side to Get It While You Can, which I ran a few months back as tribute to Jerry Ragavoy.

The man is gone, but his music will be around forever. And for that I'm grateful.
