Our friend, David Bender, reports that he's become the new political director for Air America Radio.

I know, I know...you don't get Air America. But actually you do:

Starting today--Sunday, October 3rd, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (EST)--and continuing every Sunday through the election, Air America Radio will broadcast "The Campaign Countdown," an up-to-the-minute look at the breaking political stories in the Presidential race and in key Senate races around the country.

Rachel Maddow is the host and David will serve as both producer and an on-air contributor.

Today's guests are Kerry senior advisor Joe Lockhart, Paul Kirk (co-chairman of the Commission on Presidential Debates) and pollster John Zogby.

You can listen via the Air America Radio web site by clicking on the link above or by checking online for a broadcast outlet in your area.

The new song by The Politnix called "Shut up" an ode to Bill O'Reilly, debuted on Air America this week.
