Gonzales: Apparently Not As Bad As Ashcroft
TalkLeft writes that Attorney General Gonzales met with the ACLU's executive director Anthony Romero on Wednesday.
In itself, a meeting is nothing. But it's better than Ashcroft, who refused to meet with the ACLU throughout his entire tenure. When the chief law enforcement officer refuses to even talk to the largest and oldest civil liberties organization in the country, you know things are bad.
