TRENTON — A new poll released this week shows Gov. Chris Christie's presidential prospects have taken a hit in the wake of the scandals surrounding his administration.

The CNN/ORC International survey shows Democrat former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton leading Christie 55 to 39 percent among registered voters nationwide in a hypothetical head-to-head 2016 presidential race — a 16-point drop from the groups's poll in December, when Christie led Clinton 48-46 percent.
