Tucker Carlson and the other host of Fox & Friends asserted over the weekend that L'Oreal should hire a model who bragged about killing a gazelle because it was "totally appealing."

Earlier this month, the French cosmetics company gave a job to 17-year-old Belgian model Axelle Despiegelaere after a photo of her at the World Cup went viral. But the company later responded to a viral photo of the model posing next to a dead gazelle while she was on a hunting trip by saying that her contract had been "completed."

"Where do people thinks food come from?" Carlson asked on Saturday. "That protein just manically appears, it's created in a lab somewhere in New Jersey?"

Co-host Ainsley Earhardt said that as a person who wore L'Oreal makeup, she might be more likely to buy a product because the model killed a gazelle.

"It might make me want to buy L'Oreal makeup if I'm a hunter as a female," she explained. "I mean, I grew up in the South. All the women are either hunters or their families are involved in hunting in some way. A picture of a girl hunting, that's not alarming to me."

"Well, it's also totally appealing!" Carlson exclaimed. "I'm saying it's appealing to men. This should be an ad campaign: Buy L'Oreal for your wife or girlfriend, look at this model here."
