I have a lot of disagreements with the Obama administration's policies, like the fact that they've basically continued President Bush's so-called "war on terror" and have bought into the idea that if you just drop enough bombs on people's heads from unmanned drones that you're somehow going to get rid of threats to the United States instead of just making them worse. The Patriot Act is still in place. We've done nothing to roll back the surveillance state that was put in place after 9-11 and I could go on and on, but I won't.

That said, one of the very last people I want to hear a lecture from on how the Obama administration has supposedly failed completely at foreign policy is Sen. McCrashy, John McCain, who still needs some anger management counseling over the fact that the uppity Kenyan usurper Barack Obama derailed his plans for being President of the United States.

From Fox's blog: McCain: 'John Kerry Has Had a Series of Failures' as Sec'y of State:

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) discussed his Senate re-election plans tonight on "On The Record."

McCain just formally announced today that he is running for his sixth term in office to continue to serve the country and people of Arizona. He told Greta Van Susteren that it wasn't a difficult decision for him to run again.

"The country and the world is in more turmoil than ever before," he said. "And that's just not my opinion. There are threats to us thanks to this failed presidency and the incredibly hands-off leading from behind foreign policy."

McCain said that the country is in "grave danger" and that there's a lot of work to be done still.

Van Susteren asked McCain what he thinks about Secretary of State John Kerry's negotiating skills in terms of the nuclear deal agreement with Iran.

"John Kerry has had a series of failures whether it be trying to negotiate Bashar al-Assad's departure from Syria, or the Israeli-Palestinian peace process," McCain replied. "It was obvious to all of us who know him that he was desperate for some kind of an agreement. This agreement is not only flawed, but it's dangerous."

McCain explained that "Kerry was willing to make concessions, which obviously now [is] a very flawed treaty or certainly very questionable."

Van Susteren didn't ask McCain about the fact that the TeaBirchers are gunning for him and want to run an even more extreme candidate against him in a primary race. Oh joy.

It's bad enough that he's long past retirement age and ought to be enjoying his senior years instead of making the rest of us miserable with the policies he's pushing that harm the working class in America. Par for the course he's not extreme enough for the right-wing that wants to make our new Gilded Age even worse.
