The Jeff Lorber fusion did quite a bit to bring the genre of jazz fusion into the mainstream, citing as Herbie Hancock, Weather Report, and Return to Forever as influences along the way. Jeff Lorber only recorded with this group for about four years in the late '70s-early '80s, but, in that time, they managed to put out five studio albums, which is more than you can say for most bands nowadays in that span of time. In that time, he worked with artists like Chick Corea and even introduced a young saxophonist by the name of Kenneth Bruce Gorelick into the music scene, a man you now know as... Kenny G. However, he didn't play on this album, so just kick back and enjoy the music.
