Fox 'News' goes to great lengths to prove their convoluted version of reality, especially when trying to find redeeming qualities of the GOP front runner, Donald Trump. Tucker Carlson interviewed Pastor Mark Burns, Senior Pastor of the Harvest, Praise and Worship Center in South Carolina, to prove that Trump's racist reputation is baseless.

After a September 30th meeting with Trump, Burns explained that both men believe the assumption that 'Christianity is under attack.' This televangelist thinks that Trump is unique because no other candidates have professed this sentiment. He seems to have forgotten a few because Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson and Marco Rubio (to name a few) have also claimed there is a so-called war on Christianity in the USA today.

On Friday, The Wall Street Journal described the November 30th meeting.

A group of 100 black religious leaders—some of whom are televangelists—are slated to meet with Mr. Trump privately at his campaign headquarters at Trump Tower, and then attend a news conference (which has since been cancelled) where some are expected to announce their endorsement. The group is expected to come from early primary states such as South Carolina, Florida and Ohio, along with the Republican strongholds of Georgia and Alabama.

Pastor Mark Burns of South Carolina, who is also endorsing Mr. Trump, said that he particularly liked that Mr. Trump has defended Christmas. The Republican has urged people to boycott Starbucks after the chain took a reference to the holiday off seasonal cups.

“He says Merry Christmas and not Merry Xmas,” said Mr. Burns, co-founder of the Christian Television Network. “He’s the best candidate for the Republican nomination.”

During this holiday season, what issue could possibly be more important than coffee cups? Apparently, the Black Lives Matter organization's many legitimate gripes are just trivia to this man of god.

Contrary to public opinion and well-documented cases of racial animus towards African-Americans, Burns believes that Trump's discriminatory reputation is not the reality. Surely, many people will find Pastor Burns very credible, as televangelists have impeccable reputations when it comes to integrity and fiscal responsibility.

Burns told Fox and Friends Weekend co-host Carlson that Trump absolutely did not pay any of these Black supporters to come out and endorse him, they just want to give the man a chance.

'...other great men and women of God across the country, those who have met him, have fallen in love with the character.'

Once labeled an endorsement event and press conference, Trump's meeting is simply a meet and greet with African-American religious leaders.

Instead, the campaign said Sunday evening the celebrity businessman would hold a “private, informational meet and greet” with a group of black religious leaders, at which a number of them would endorse Mr. Trump for president. The event was closed to press, the campaign stated.

If you are a Black Republican with something to say, odds are Fox 'News' will put you on the air, no matter how absurd your assertions may be. Nothing fixes decades of sheer racism like a televangelist claiming that Donald Trump is a friend to the Black man, especially an African-American who claims that Trump is the least racist GOP candidate. The least racially biased member of the KKK is still a racist by definition.
