Fox and Friends, in the days running up to Christmas, is an (even more) intellectually barren wasteland, of puff pieces and human interest stories. Occasionally, they'll throw in a political discussion, and today's proved a bit more entertaining than the norm.

The Brothers Woodhouse spoke with Elisabeth Hasselbeck about a recent Fox News Poll that predicts a Presidential race pitting Donald J. Trump versus Secretary Hillary Clinton.

Dallas is the former Americans For Prosperity state director of North Carolina and (as of September, 2015) is the new executive director of the N.C. Republican Party.

Brad Woodhouse, a longtime national Democratic strategist, is President of groups American Bridge and Americans United for Change, two of the nation’s leading progressive organizations. Woodhouse took on these roles after a successful five-year (2008 to 2013) run as a senior strategist for the Obama campaign and Communications Director for the Democratic National Committee (DNC).

From Brad's Correct The Record Tumblr: The Republican field may pretend it is different than Donald Trump, but they have proven that they’re all in agreement. The GOP is the Party of Trump. There's no denying it, and it appears that Brad delights in shoving this reality in his Republican brother's face. It's really about time, as it is no surprise to reality-based liberals that the party has been going off the rails on a very crazy train since Clinton took the reigns in 1992.

The usual back and forth between the politically rivaled siblings seemed to always end with a left hook from Brad; he delivered the blows by simply reminding Dallas of the harsh truths that have boiled to the surface, exposing the GOP for what it is. The only defense Dallas could muster is the ludicrous idea that Hillary Clinton wants to embrace and hug terrorists, because that's precisely not what she's suggested. A climate of tolerance for all faiths is not synonymous with enabling and condoning violence and terror. Here's the firework-filled portion of the exchange.

BRAD WOODHOUSE: "What Dallas has got to deal with, what the Republican Party has to deal with is that Donald Trump has led the Republicans down a path of extreme rhetoric. You know, they're anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant, anti-women, anti-minority, and whoever the candidate is Dallas is going to have to figure out how are you going to attract more voters than you did in 2012?"

ELISABETH HASSELBECK: "(Addressing Dallas) Who knew that you and the party were such bigots?!"

DALLAS WOODHOUSE: How are you going to deal with the fact that Hillary Clinton wants to start a hug-a-thug terrorist program and fight terrorism with love and kindness? The people of America don't want to fight no terrorism with love and kindness, they want to fight them with muscle and might and a lack of mercy!

BRAD WOODHOUSE: Dallas, I understand you came on this program a year ago (it was actually in April of this year) and said that the next president should bomb a Muslim country, not terrorists, just bomb all the Muslims. And that's the attitude.

DALLAS: No, I didn't say that.

BRAD: Yeah, that is exactly what you said, that's the attitude that most of the Republican Candidates have, Donald Trump has pulled them in that direction and that's something you're going to have to deal with.

DALLAS: Maybe y'all could bake cookies for the terrorists? Make cookies and brownies and hug-a-thug.

BRAD: Bomb a Muslim Country.

Just repeat back what a right-winger has said and you'll easily expose the hateful crazy that permeates all their 'thinking.' Brad easily wins this round, with Elisabeth playing the break-it-up mom, siding obviously, with the loser.
