Fox & Friends suggested on Thursday that Santa would be putting coal in The New York Times' stocking because its editors had called for gun safety laws following the recent mass shooting in San Bernardino.

During a Christmas Eve segment on the conservative network, Federalist editor Mollie Hemingway told Fox's Clayton Morris that failed Republican presidential candidates Bobby Jindal, Rick Perry, Scott Walker had Lindsey Graham had all made the "Nice List" because they got out of the presidential race for the good of the Republican Party.

GOP hopeful Marco Rubio and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) also made the "Nice List," but The New York Times wasn't so lucky.

"This year was particularly bad for the newspaper," Hemingway explained. "After the recent terrorist attack in San Bernardino, they took to the front page and published an editorial that, rather than talking about terrorism or Islamist terrorism, they decided the problem was gun control."

"And while gun control advocates claim they just want sensible gun control, they actually called for confiscation of guns on the front page. This shows how extreme the gun control movement is."

In fact, the Times argued that argued that "weapons, like the slightly modified combat rifles used in California, and certain kinds of ammunition, must be outlawed for civilian ownership."

Hemingway concluded by adding both Democratic National Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton to the "Naughty List."

"She set up the private email server," Hemingway said of Clinton. "We learned from those emails that she knew all along that Benghazi was a terrorist attack and not due to a video. And even this last week she claimed that ISIS was using Donald Trump in its propaganda videos when it was actually her husband who is appearing in these videos."

"Just a horrible year," she said.
