Jay Newton Small told Chris Hayes a story about Donald Trump to illustrate the problem he has with women, and it's pretty horrendous.

Via digby:

Chris Hayes was filling in on MSNBC daytime to day and he interviewed a bunch of reporters who are working on the gender beat about Trump. There was lots of good stuff, but anecdote from Jay Newton Small floored everyone on the panel:

Trump always says that he has been a champion of women in the private sector, and when you talk to women who are close to him and I remember talking to one who said she likes Donald Trump, she supports Donald Trump but he also kept a picture of her in his desk from when she had her third child and she was pretty overweight having just given birth to her third kid and every time he thought she was doing her job or perhaps getting a little too big for her britches he would take out what he called "the fat picture" to remind her that she wasn't perfect. That's a woman that supports him and thinks he was a good boss ...

You should have seen the look on Chris Hayes' face ...

And you can see it in the video above.

Trump has a major problem with women, but I'm starting to doubt he's going to win the nomination outright anyway. According to a report on Rachel Maddow's show Friday, Ted Cruz is working behind the scenes to hijack his delegates at state conventions.

The drama continues...
