The headline the political news media is talking about today is from Wapo:

Jake Tapper asked Donald Trump if his judge attack was racist — then followed up 23 times

Yeah, 23 follow-ups is impressive, especially in a cable news environment where ONE follow-up is abnormal. But most analysts are giving Jake Tapper good grades for his interview with Trump in which he did not let go of the fact that bringing up the racial heritage of a judge who is ruling against you is out-of-bounds.

There are so many lies in a row from Trump, but we are used to that by now. What matters is, a journalist sat down and would not get up until he got an answer as to why this racist attack on the judge is permissible.

Donald appeared unhinged. My eyebrows finally hit the ceiling when Trump suggested that many other states had turned down the Trump University case. Apparently Trump thinks everyone is out to get him, even states with no jurisdiction over his "University" but then they realized Trump is such an awesome guy with awesome ratings....

And what kind of mental case are you if you have to lie about the ratings of your cancelled reality television show? But Trump has been lying about that for years. Hollywood Reporter, January 2015:

"It's the No. 1 show on television," he exclaimed to a room of muffled laughs at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, before brushing off suggestions that NBC delayed the return because of his own controversial and alienating media persona. "They were calling me all of the time. I think NBC always liked it. I was always pushing it."

Confusion over how Trump reached the conclusion that his show was the highest-rated on television — it is not — prompted several more questions about the ratings. After conceding that it is just the highest-rated show on Mondays — it is not — Trump was informed that CBS sitcom Mike & Molly has topped Mondays for the last two weeks. "That's just what I had heard," he said with a shrug.

One has to wonder what that shrug will look like when he loses his Trump University case. And, spaghetti monster willing, The Presidency.
