Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, who is slotted to speak at the Republican National Convention on Monday (even though he runs as a Democrat), appeared on CNN Tonight with Don Lemon.

It's not clear if Clarke was drunk or was just extremely uncomfortable being outside of the friendly confines of Faux News, but he was completely unhinged even for him. Every time Lemon asked Clarke a question, Clarke would go on a nonsensical rant about Black Lives Matter, black on black crime and whether cops treat black people harsher than they do white people. (Never mind that Clarke is all for racial profiling.)

Clarke's boorishness and belligerence was so bad that Lemon had to cut to a commercial early into the interview. When they came back on the air, Lemon had to lecture Clarke like a little child on how to behave.

Clarke failed to heed the lesson, however, and Lemon was forced to end the interview abruptly due to Clarke's poor conduct.

The kicker to all this is that just a week ago, I had pointed out that Clarke himself is a master of irresponsible rhetoric that he was complaining about in his rants.

Yet Clarke is one that Trump wants to represent him during the convention. Then again, giving some of the crap that Trump and the other Republicans have come up with, Clarke will fit right in.
