I talk to John Amato and Susie Madrak and they tell me "Oh, you need to watch this show..." all the time. And to be honest, I almost never do. Mostly because I generally don't have control of the remote when my family is home, and if I'm home alone, I'm too busy to sit down and watch a show. Frankly, I watch so much news over the course of the day that my way to turn my brain off is to read fiction. Apparently, I'm not dissimilar to many other people in that regard.

That said, I have caught bits and pieces of most of these shows, thanks to family and friends. I'm surprised by how much quality there is in these nominations. I genuinely wouldn't be able to pick winners in several of these categories.
