Two dogs, Angelica and Spud, had been locked up in crates for six years before they were rescued. Both dogs were powerfully grateful to their rescuers. Unfortunately, they were not adopted together and Spud found his forever home first. But it took Angelica a little longer before she was ready to look for her home. Despite this, you can't help but melt at her joie de vivre and love of all the firsts in her life - her first bed, her first toy and, best of all, her first cheeseburger!

But all those firsts pale to the time of life reaching full circle and she has a reunion with her old friend, Spud. At least that's what I think happened but I'm not sure. I always seem to get some dust or something in my eye about that point.

If nothing else, this is why it's so important to adopt and not shop.
