In the never-ending chronicles of Trump's abuse of the civil legal system, today's installment involves a lawsuit against Michael Cohen for $500 million. Yes, you read that right, it's exactly one-half billion dollars. Watch the video above where Ken Dilanian can almost hold back the laughter as he tries to report on this lawsuit with a straight face.

The crux of Mr. Grievance's complaint is that once Michael Cohen loved him, and then he turned on him and in the process, broke non-disclosure agreements and caused Trump monetary harm.

Okay, that's oversimplifying, but that really IS the heart of things. Trump uses lawsuits to harass and silence, as he did with the DNC and Hillary Clinton. He also uses them to try and get discovery, which may be the case here, given that Michael Cohen is integral to the Manhattan D.A.'s charges.

Here is it is in legal-speak, as reported by ABC News. "Defendant breached his fiduciary duties owed to Plaintiff by virtue of their attorney-client relationship by both revealing Plaintiff's confidences, and spreading falsehoods about Plaintiff, likely to be embarrassing or detrimental, and partook in other misconduct," the lawsuit reads.

The lawsuit, filed in Miami federal court, accused Cohen of "an onslaught of fiduciary and contractual breaches" through numerous "inflammatory and false statements" about Trump in books, his podcast and media appearances.

OH, well there it is. Michael Cohen has a podcast, and it's pretty popular. Part of the Meidas Touch network, Cohen broadcasts on YouTube and all of the usual podcast platforms. Meidas Touch, led by civil attorney Ben Meiselas, has more than 1 million subscribers on YouTube alone. The same network hosts a legal analysis podcast focused on the many woes of Donald J. Trump. Like this one:

This must just infuriate Trump. From the lawsuit: "Defendant chose to capitalize on his confidential relationship with Plaintiff to pursue financial gain and repair a reputation shattered by his repeated misrepresentations and deceptive acts, fueled by his animus toward the Plaintiff and his family members. His actions constitute grave violations of his contractual and fiduciary duties to the Plaintiff, and Defendant must be held accountable."

Michael Cohen went to prison for his participation in Donald Trump's scheme. There is no world in which Donald Trump's petulant need for revenge will silence Cohen, no matter how much money he wants in a bogus lawsuit.
