Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) suggested this week that Pat Benatar's music was played during child sacrifice.
During a Wednesday interview with host Joe Pags, Cruz was asked whether the U.S. Senate would convict President Joe Biden if he were ever impeached.
"If the Senate gets the impeachment and a trial is held, do you think you could ever get a supermajority to remove him?" Pags wondered.
"I don't think Senate Democrats, if you had video of Joe Biden murdering children, dressed as the devil under a full moon while singing Pat Benatar, they still wouldn't vote to convict," Cruz claimed.
"That's nuts," Pags replied.
It was not immediately clear why Cruz associated Benatar's music with child sacrifice.
