Russian state media loved that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy did not allow President Zelensky to speak before Congress, calling Republican comments "good signals." McCarthy's actions, as well as comments by J.D. Vance, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and Ron Johnson, are featured in the segment above. These people and others of their ilk are often featured on Russian state television to provide evidence that the United States is a divided country as regards helping Ukraine.

Russian state TV is absolutely delighted about Speaker Kevin McCarthy's decision to not allow Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to address a joint session of Congress.

RT, the English language Russian media propaganda outlet said in a piece on McCarthy Thursday, "while backing Ukraine against Russia remains a popular position for Republicans, there are growing signs of pushback against maintaining the current level of assistance."

They then played a clip of McCarthy saying, "is Zelensky a member of Congress? Is he our President? I don't think I have to commit anything."

RT quoted McCarthy saying, “Where’s the accountability on the money we’ve already spent? What is the plan for victory? I think that’s what the American public wants to know."
