This is precisely why Donald Trump makes me all stabby. Well, considering he's talking about Hannibal Lechter, the fictional character's name in a film about a serial killer, I probably shouldn't have said stabby. Would you believe that Donald doesn't know the difference between reality and fiction? Of course, you would. While speaking in Iowa on Saturday, Trump displayed that, and of course, his narcissism.

"Why?" he asked. "Because that's a vicious thing. I said that's Silence Of The Lamb."

"You know what that is?" he asked, even though no one brought it up. "Has anybody seen Silence of the Lambs?"

"Hannibal Lecter, how great an actor was he?" he said of the fictional character. "You know why I like him?"

"Because he said on television, on one of the, I love Donald Trump, so I love him," he continued. "I love him. I love him. He said that a long time ago, and once he said that, he was in my camp."

"I was in his camp," Trump added. "I don't care if he was the worst actor. I'd say he was great to me."

The former President confused the actor Anthony Hopkins with his role in the movie. And that's a pretty big mistake. I think Trump probably does admire prolific serial killers. Prove me wrong. And I can find zero pieces of evidence that Hopkins "loved" Donald fucking Trump. As far as I know, Hopkins doesn't like politicians in general. It's no wonder that Putin could easily manipulate Donald. All he had to do was flatter him.

He was a spiffy dresser, though.
