It's not possible that former President Donald Trump was the victim in 2020 of collusion "between the government and journalism" while his administration also headed the government in 2020. According to Republicans, Trump was the victim of a nefarious plot to damage his reputation (LOL) while doing underworldly things with the deep state to bring poor, unsuspecting Donald Trump down. Of course, the problem with this is that Trump was the President at the time, the head of the government. Biden was not.

Ohio GOP Senator J.D. Vance had to be reminded of that by CNN host Jake Tapper after Vance claimed that very thing. First, JD Vance had to walk back Kash Patel's recent comments when he told Steve Bannon, that as head of Trump's CIA, he would "come after the people in the media," saying that he didn't see the "full context of the clip."

"We know we know in 2020 that there were massive pieces of evidence that were suppressed by collusion between the national security state in this country and various, various..." Vance said.

Tapper explained to viewers that they were talking about the Hunter Biden story.

"There have been studies on this, didn't see that story that would have seen it if there hadn't been that collusion between these technology companies and members of the media who had security clearances; these people were using the trust acquired over a lifetime of public service and lying to the American with order," Vance said. "I agree that we need to look seriously at how there was collusion between members of the press and big technology companies and members of the national security state."

Vance explains what journalism is.

"Jake," Vance said. "That's not journalism. It is not journalism to take your security clearance lie to the American people and then persuade the big technology companies to censor anti-Joe Biden stories. That's not journalism that is a cooperative operation between the government and journalism."

"Well, Donald Trump was president at the time that any censorship was going on," Tapper said. "So nobody in government, I mean, any Biden people were not -- that we're asking that were not in the government at the time."

Rudy wouldn't let Jake do journalism

"But I will just say as somebody that, that tried to see the laptop, Rudy Giuliani wouldn't let us see the laptop, he wouldn't let us," Tapper said. "So we weren't able to report on it because he wanted us to go by his work."

Oh, so wait a minute here. Trump was the President then (which we need to keep pointing out to his brainless minions), so there was no nefarious plot to undermine Trump -- unless he was the real sinister force behind all of this.
