During a speech on Saturday night at the New York Young Republican Club, Trump claimed a general who must not be named told him the bravest thing he's ever seen in his life was when Trump said his Access Hollywood tape was nothing more than "locker room talk." This was, to this mystery general, braver than anything he's seen on the battlefield.

Just to review, "sir stories" are lies Trump tells when he wants to spin something his way. They generally involve men with tears in their eyes, but sometimes if the person saying "sir" is a very manly man, he leaves the tears off.

"A general, who’s a fantastic general, actually said to me, ‘Sir, I’ve been on the battlefield. Men have gone down on my left and on my right. I stood on hills where soldiers were killed. But I believe the bravest thing I’ve ever seen was the night you went on to that stage with Hillary Clinton, after what happened --and then that woman asked you the first question about it.’", Trump said.

He added, "And I said, locker room talk! It’s locker talk! What the hell?! What are you talking...Locker room talk!'"

Most generals are not that fond of Lumpy. The only one I can think of who is close to Trump and who Trump considers "a fantastic general" is Mike Flynn. I guess the two of them can tell each other "sir stories" in prison when they go there.

It's also worth noting that the New York Young Republican Club is the same group that birthed, promoted and supported George Santos as a Congressional candidate.
