The goal is to get 100 ballots and make it to the final room, where Trump waits for players so that he can overturn the results of the 2020 election. Fun for the whole family!

Insurrection in a box.

Relive those heady moments when taking over the U.S. government was more than just a dream. I'm both appalled by this and admiring of their chutzpah. To too many Americans, insurrection is still just a game.

A new board game is being released this weekend to commemorate the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

"Storm the Capitol — TrueAnon Edition" will be available for purchase beginning Saturday, which marks the third anniversary of the attack on the Capitol. The limited edition game, which is designed for 4 to 7 adult players and is being sold for $64.99, is based on the events that unfolded on January 6 and allows players to "Relive one of the funniest days in American history!"

"Take control of one of 6 Patriots as you battle through the Capitol, collecting ballots, taking hostages, and fighting the police. Or play as the Capitol Police and use every means at your disposal to prevent the Patriots from getting to the roof with enough ballots to Stop the Steal," the game's website states.

The board game was created by the TrueAnon, a political podcast hosted by Brace Belden and Liz Franczak and produced by Yung Chomsky. As of Tuesday, it is the ninth-ranked podcast on Patreon.

On Tuesday's episode of the podcast, titled "MAGA-log," the hosts promoted the new game and recalled the Capitol riot, with Belden describing it as "the best day of watching things on TV" and Franczak calling it "a slice of life."
