No shortage of news, this day in 1968. The "Communism With A Human Face" experiment in Czechoslovakia would come to an end within weeks, but Alexander Dubcek was still pushing for reforms. Meanwhile, Vietnam was continuing with Vietcong mortar attacks on Da Nang and American B-52 raids on North Vietnam. James Earl Ray entered a plea of "not guilty" in the assassination of Dr, Martin Luther King. Supporters of George Wallace' candidacy for President predicted the election would go to the House and with the recent assassination of Robert Kennedy, Hubert Humphrey stepped up his campaign to win the Democratic nomination.

All in all, a busy day as reported by KNX in Los Angeles from their Noon Hour News for July 22, 1968.

No such thing as a slow news day . . .anytime.
